We are in Area 10 and after the listening session they give you a link to offer your feedback, but get this, you can only choose from the answers they supply. So if you are opposed to those answers, there is NO other choice. I refused to take the survey. I am not feeding their ego. I had printed it out first so I could prayerfully choose my answers, but after seeing them could not bring myself to take the survey and feed their ego's.

Sadly, the people publicly screaming about church closings are those who want to play "ecclesiastical house" and revert back to a time prior to Vatican II. This was also known in the planning, long before All Things New Started, and those parish (except for one/two) will be shuddered. The church has awakened fully and will move forward. Most of the inner city parishes have attendance from people who do not live in the community. With this being said, they lock the doors, turn off the lights, and run as fast as they can when mass is over. Why is this a travesty?....because they do not support the surrounding community and only use the church building for their "all white", veil wearing, community to be part of a Latin Mass community. This kills the surrounding neighborhood and they contribute nothing for it's betterment - they leave and go back to their "All White" communities - where they live. I know because I have chosen to stay in the inner city and try to make things better. We need evangelization and outreach from our Catholic Church in these neighborhood for both the rich and the poor.
